1
Keywords
UV-thermal dual-curing system, excellent chemical resistance, low viscosity.
2
Introduction
B-6210 is a polyurethane acrylate that can be combined with isocyanates to form functional coatings via a UV-thermal dual-curing process. This resin features low viscosity, high curing speed, and produces cured coatings that are both hard and tough, with excellent chemical resistance as well as outstanding weathering performance—including resistance to high- and low-temperature cycling/impact and salt spray exposure.

Specific application examples
Take the dual-cure performance test on automotive interior parts as an example:
Component A:
Resin B-6210: S-2180 = 40:60;
Group B:
HDI trimer: S-2180 = 50:50;
(Group S-2180 consists of EAC:BAC:anti-fouling agent = 70:25:5);
Component A: Component B: 1173 = 100:20:3. After thorough mixing and homogenization, first cure under a mercury lamp, then complete the curing process by thermal curing at 80℃ before conducting the test.

Component C: S-2180, 40–60%; (The S-2180 component consists of EAC:BAC:anti-whitening agent = 70:25:5);
2. Testing Method
A:B:C = 10:2:4–6 (the solid content during construction shall be controlled according to the film thickness requirements); use a 400-mesh filter cloth for filtration.
Spray the material onto the substrate, achieving a film thickness of 25–45 μm. Then, bake it at 70–80℃ for 3–5 minutes. Cure it using UV energy greater than 800 mJ. Tests were conducted by spraying on both black PU primer and PC boards.
3. Test Results
Hardness ≥ H; boiled in water at 100℃ for 2 hours: OK; surface appearance: OK.
Summary: B-6210 is a UV-thermally curable resin containing hydroxyl-acrylate bonds (non-blend, synthetic type). It features low viscosity, high curing speed, excellent pigment wetting, high hardness and toughness, and superior chemical resistance. Additionally, it exhibits outstanding performance in environmental testing, such as boiling water and salt spray tests.
