Excessive pressure can cause the brush bristles to splay and leave deeper brush marks. Aim for a light touch that just allows the brush to make contact with the nail and evenly distribute the gel. Mastering this level of pressure takes practice, but once you develop a steady feel, brush-mark issues will be significantly reduced.
3. Keep the brush head in good condition. After each use, promptly replace the cap to prevent the bristles from drying out. Replace the brush head immediately if you notice split or stiffened bristles. Regularly inspect the brush head; well-arranged bristles are essential for achieving a smooth, even surface.
4. Allow sufficient leveling time. Do not cure under the lamp immediately after application; instead, let the coating stand for 2 to 3 seconds to allow it to level out naturally. 1. Handling minor brush marks: If the brush marks are not prominent, they can be covered during the application of the next coat of color adhesive or topcoat. The subsequent adhesive’s leveling properties will fill in the shallow grooves created by the brush marks, so no separate treatment is required.
2. Treatment of obvious brush marks: If the brush marks are prominent and remain visible after curing, gently sand them smooth with a sponge file, then clean the surface and apply a fresh coat of sealer. Once the new sealer has leveled out, it will effectively conceal the sanding marks.
