To implement the "Opinions of the State Council on Promoting a Lifelong Vocational Skills Training System" (Guofa [2018] No. 11), and further strengthen the development of vocational skills talent in China’s radiation-curing industry, as well as to cultivate professional and technical personnel with solid foundational knowledge and product-development skills for enterprises, following the successful holding of the second basic training course at Jiangnan University, the Radiation Curing Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Photographic Science and Technology and the School of Materials and Energy at Guangdong University of Technology have decided to jointly organize the "Third Basic Training Course on Radiation Curing" from May 9 to 14, 2025. The training course will be hosted by the School of Materials and Energy at Guangdong University of Technology. Details are as follows:

1

Main training content

Through this course, participants should gain an understanding of the general overview of radiation-curing technology and its applications, the fundamental principles of radiation curing, as well as the relationship between structure and performance. They will master basic preparation and characterization methods for radiation-curable materials, acquire specialized knowledge in formulation design, product development, and application, and stay informed about emerging trends in this field.

2

Training methods, time, and location

1. Training methods: classroom instruction + hands-on experiments + examination and report submission + graduation certificate + panel discussions and Q&A sessions, etc.:

Considering the diverse needs of participants, this course adopts a 3+2 model: the first three days are dedicated to foundational training in radiation-curing technologies and materials; the following two days focus on hands-on experimental instruction covering formulation and product preparation, including formulation design, product fabrication, and characterization experiments for radiation-cured coatings and 3D printing. Upon successful completion of the assessment exam, participants will receive a certificate of completion. This training session will also invite renowned international experts and scholars in the field of photopolymerization to deliver lectures, participate in panel discussions, and answer participants’ questions.

2. Training time and location:

Time: May 9–14 (Register and check in on May 9; theoretical exam on the evening of May 12)

Location: School of Materials and Energy, Guangdong University of Technology (No. 100, West Outer Ring Road, Guangzhou University Town, Panyu District, Guangzhou)

Note: Upon completion of the theoretical or all training courses, participants will be issued a certificate of completion uniformly.

3

Fee standards

1. Training fee:

The fee for the first three-day basic training from May 10 to 12 is as follows: 3,000 yuan per person for members, 4,000 yuan per person for non-members, and 1,500 yuan per person for students.

The fee for attending the two-day experimental and operational training from May 13 to 14 only is: 3,800 yuan per person for members, 4,800 yuan per person for non-members, and 1,500 yuan per person for students.

Participation fee for the full event training from May 10 to 14: 6,800 yuan per person for members, 8,800 yuan per person for non-members, and 3,000 yuan per person for students.

(※The fee includes training materials, tuition fees, raw and auxiliary materials for hands-on training and assessment, use of instruments and equipment, a certificate of completion, meals during the event, taxes, and other related expenses; it does not include transportation or accommodation costs. In case of special circumstances, a written explanation may be submitted to request an exception.)
