BM3380: 3EO-TMPTA

BM3380 (3EO-TMPTA): Ethoxylated Trimethylolpropane Triacrylate, is a trifunctional UV monomer widely used in UV coatings, inks, and 3D printing.

Compared with TMPTA, it offers the following advantages:

1. Lower viscosity: TMPTA has a viscosity of about 70 - 110 cps, while 3EO-TMPTA's is only 50 - 70 cps. This lower viscosity enhances the material's fluidity and processability, facilitating easier handling and application in UV - related products.

2. Greater flexibility: The addition of ethoxylated groups increases its molecular weight and elongates the molecular chain. As the number of these groups rises, the cured film becomes more flexible. This enhanced flexibility reduces material brittleness, improving durability and impact resistance in practical use. Moreover, it has reduced skin irritation, which is crucial for product safety and applicability, and increased water solubility, expanding its use in water - based UV curing systems.  

Since December 1, 2023, the European Chemicals Agency has classified TMPTA as a Category 2 carcinogen. Finding a substitute for TMPTA is urgent, and ethoxylated TMPTA has emerged as a promising option.
